Thanks to the ISO 5000 funding, we were able to realize our project Ohne Platznummer keine Brötchen. As part of this project, we travelled across parts of Germany and visited various campsites.
We set up our tent on site and experienced everyday life at these places first-hand. We documented the people and their surroundings and also searched for materials or found objects that we could incorporate into our printing processes. We also made contact with long-term campers, who kindly invited us into their homes, giving us insight into their lives on the campsite. During our travels, we encountered a wide range of camping sites, from those located in the middle of nature to others directly alongside highways. Even outside the main season, we camped on deserted sites, where the only remaining visitors were usually the long-term residents.
Using all the photographic material we collected, we developed an exhibition that was shown in May 2025 at the Englische Kirche Bad Homburg. For the exhibition concept, we focused strongly on experimental printing approaches, aiming to make the campsite experience tangible from multiple perspectives. A sound installation was also part of the show, guiding visitors through a day on a campsite.
We are currently working on a publication to create space for the large amount of material we gathered.
